    So, after Facebook’s purchase of Instagram last week for a cool billion, does anyone need any more convincing that we are moving towards visual-based communications?

    Anyway, Facebook. Timeline. What the f is going on? I didn’t want to say it in my email a couple weeks ago because I was unsure of the results after the changeover (and I have more than a couple friends that work at these places), but Facebook’s conversion to Timeline is KILLING traffic to Facebook apps.

        Hope you are all having a phenomenal holiday sales season, I’m already eyeballing bigger & better things for 2012. I wanted to go back to what I was saying in May of this year — that image-based communication is going to be one of the biggest trends of the year.

        And sure enough, 6 months later –
        Pinterest Reports 2000% Growth
        Instagram Nearly Triples Users to 10 Million
        Tumblr Goes from 1 Billion to 10 Billion Posts in 1 Year

        And as big as these numbers are, they are only going to get bigger, especially as tablets replace laptops. Less typing / more snapping, hop on it.

You’ve got your bands booked at the right venues and the right parties, but do you have a plan in place to exploit those appearances outside the 512? Do you have space on the guest list to invite non-industry fans via Twitter and Facebook promotions?
